Countries ending in -ska behave like regions: na Hrvaškem, na Madžarskem, na Slovaškem. Other countries take v: v Italiji, v Avstriji, v Sloveniji.
For directions, use na + locative: na severu (in the north), na jugu, na vzhodu, na zahodu. "Towards" is na sever, na jug…
Mejiti na + accusative means "to border": Slovenija meji na Italijo.
