Dative pronouns
Level A2 · Unit 9: Friends and the phone · Lesson 3: To me, to you: dative pronouns
Like the accusative and genitive, the dative has short and long pronouns.
- Short forms are the default. Like all short words, they go in second place: Ali mi lahko pomagaš? Can you help me?
- Long forms are for emphasis, contrast, one-word answers and after prepositions: Tebi vedno. "For you, always." · Grem k njej. I'm going to her place.
