Ask Koga? (whom?) for people and animals, Kaj? (what?) for things.
- Feminine -a → -o: soba → Imam sobo.
- Neuter: no change: mesto → Vidim mesto.
- Masculine things: no change: hotel → Iščem hotel.
- Masculine people and animals add -a: brat → Vidim brata.
