Numbers and nouns, the full picture
Level A1 · Unit 6: In the shop · Lesson 4: Five euros: numbers and the genitive plural
The form of the noun depends on the number (only the last word of the number counts for 1–4, so 21–24 behave like 5+):
| Number | Form | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | singular | en evro · ena steklenica |
| 2 | dual | dva evra · dve steklenici |
| 3, 4 | plural | trije evri · tri steklenice |
| 5 and up | genitive plural | pet evrov · pet steklenic |
| veliko, malo, nekaj, koliko | genitive plural | veliko ljudi · nekaj sokov |
