Real and imagined
Level A2 · Unit 12: He and she · Lesson 3: If… če and če bi
Real (it could happen): če + the present or future, and the present or future in the main clause:
- Če bo jutri lepo vreme, gremo na izlet. If the weather's nice tomorrow, we'll go on a trip.
- Če imaš čas, greva na kavo. If you've got time, let's go for a coffee.
Imagined (a daydream, or not true): če bi + l-participle, and bi + l-participle in the main clause:
- Če bi imel denar, bi kupil hišo. If I had money, I'd buy a house.
- Če bi bila bogata, bi potovala okoli sveta. If I were rich, I'd travel around the world.
