Most job titles have a feminine form. The common patterns are:

| -ik → -ica | zdravnik | zdravnica |
| -ec → -ka | prevajalec | prevajalka |
| consonant → + ka | študent | študentka |
| -ar → -arica | natakar | natakarica |
