After iz ("from"), place names change their ending. You'll learn the full rule (the genitive case) in Unit 6; for now, learn the two simple patterns:
- Names ending in -a change -a → -e: Slovenija → iz Slovenije.
- Names ending in a consonant add -a: London → iz Londona.
